Over twenty years ago, Dennis Gouldman took part in an art class given by Helen Bar-Lev. Inspired by her, he has been painting ever since.
For many years, Dennis concentrated on water color painting, sitting outside in all weathers and trying to capture an image of what he saw. More recently, Dennis has reached more deeply into his imagination and - on large canvasses - tries to retrieve memories of childhood and imaginary, yet semi-realistic, landscapes, hidden in his subconscious. He had two solo exhibitions and has participated in six group exhibitions at the Israel Museum Youth Wing, the International Cultural Center and elsewhere.
Dennis came to Israel from England over fifty years ago and is now a retired lawyer. He worked for many years in the State Attorney's Department and still teaches at the Institute for Urban and Regional Studies at the Hebrew University. He keeps fit and devotes time to his large family.
